Terms and Conditions of Service– effective from 3rd January 2018.
Hourly Rate for two experienced Movers and a truck is $140 an hour including GST, charged depot to depot. Additional labour $30/hour per labourer, including GST. Additional labour is used as determined by us for larger households, multi-story, or where access is difficult in order to improve overall efficiency on your move.
Heavy Lift Fee $40 per item will be charged for Pianos, Spas, Saunas or other particularly heavy or awkward items or where access is difficult and presents an element of risk to our staff, as determined by A2B Movers management.
Minimum charge is for two hours and then in quarter of an hour increments (depot to depot).
Sunday 10% surcharge applies to all moves. Public Holidays We do not perform moves on public holidays.
Travel charge of $0.50/kilometre apply for each kilometre over 75km, calculated depot to depot.
Prior Estimate We endeavour to always provide an honest estimate of the time that it will take to complete a job and will do our best to keep within the estimate provided, but it is an estimate and the final amount may vary.
Breaks. Staff are entitled to take a 10 minute break after two hours. Please provide access to toilet facilities and access to water or other refreshment, where available.
Health and Safety. Please ensure you advise us of any known risks such as loose steps, etc. Access and loading areas must be kept clear of debris. Also, children and pets must be kept away from access and loading areas at all times.
Standard of Care Our standard of care is to blanket wrap all cabinets and large electrical items and ratchet strap them to the wall of the truck. We also shrink wrap items that are likely to pop out, such as drawers, etc. Please point out valuable items requiring extra protection prior to loading.
Owners Risk. We strive to take care of your goods whilst loading, in transit and unloading, however carriage is at Owner’s Risk as defined in the Carriage of Goods Act 1979. This means that we are not liable for and will pay no compensation for any accidental loss or damage to your goods or property. We suggest you obtain insurance cover for your move. Inspection Prior to Departure We shall accept no responsibility for goods left behind and request that you or your representative ensure that all goods to be moved have been uplifted neither shall we shall not be responsible for the security of the your property.
Items not transported Loose, unpackaged, unwrapped china, glassware or fragile items; Paint, (new or used), including paint tins/pails/trays/brushes/rollers/rags; Commercial quantities of chemical cleaners and cleaning agents. Oils of any kind, Kerosene, petrol, turpentine, methylated spirits, cleaning fluids, or other hydrocarbons, oily rags; aerosols or LPG Gas Cylinders over 9kg; Firearms, ammunition, or explosives of any kinds; or any other item deemed by our driver as not suitable for transport, such as infestation of any kind.
Invoicing Full payment must be made at the end of the job without any set-off or adjustment. Deposit of 50%required for out of town (Tauranga) jobs prior to shifting date.
Payment Methods. Our crew carry mobile EFTPOS terminals and can process eftpos and credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). Internet Banking permitted with prior approval.
Additional Fees If payment is not received within 24 hours of your move a $30 admin fee applies. If not been made within 7 days a further $70 late payment fee shall be added. Where full payment, including above fees has not been made within 31 days we will to refer the account for collection and by acceptance of these Terms you agree that you will pay all collection costs, including our legal costs as well as any court costs that may be awarded by the court.
Acceptance Confirmation of your booking with A2B Movers forms a contract for service subject to the above Terms and Conditions.
