A2B Movers Rates, as at 3rd January 2018

Standard Hourly Rate $140 per hour.  Standard hourly rate is for two movers and a truck.

Additional Labour $30 per hour. Additional labour is used as determined by A2B Movers for larger households, multi-storey properties, or where access is difficult in order to improve overall efficiency.

Minimum charge is for two hours and then in quarter of an hour increments.

Call-Out Fee, in some areas we have a set-fee that covers our time getting from the depot to pickup and back from destination to depot. In areas where a call-out fee applies the hourly rate shall be charged from arrival at the pickup address until the truck and crew are ready to depart the destination address. In all other areas the hourly rate shall be charged depot to depot.

Tauranga: charged depot to depot with set 15 minutes each way.
Western Bay of Plenty Call-Out Fee: $80.   Both pickup and destination within Western Bay of Plenty.
Whakatane Call-Out Fee: $150, ($160 from 3rd January 2018).  Both pickup and destination are in Whakatane/Kawerau/Edgecumbe area.
Rotorua Call-Out Fee: $15,($160 from 3rd January 2018). .  Both pickup and destination are in Rotorua area.
Katikati/Waihi Call-Out Fee $150, ($160 from 3rd January 2018). .  Both pickup and destination are in Katikati/Waihi area.
Matamata/Tokoroa Call-Out Fee $150  ($160 from 3rd January 2018). Both pickup and delivery in Katikati/Matamata area.
All other areas: depot to depot

Mileage Charge of 50 cents per kilometre applies for each kilometre over 75km, calculated depot to depot.

Heavy Lift Fee of $40 applies for items that pose an increased risk of injury to movers, such as Pianos, Spas, Saunas.

Overnight Fee of $120 per crew member applies for all moves with a duration over 13 hours, as per Transport Regulations.

Trailer Fee of $80 per day applies where trailer is required. Crate Hire applies for hire of packing crates.

Packing Labour charge of $40 per hour, per packer, applies for all packing, except that carried out on the day by the move crew, which shall be charged as part of the move.

Packing Materials charge applies for all packing materials used in packing and moving, charged at our cost plus 20%.

Miscellaneous Charge applies for miscellaneous items such as toll charges/parking fees, specialist equipment hire, such as crane hire, etc., at our cost plus 20%.

Sunday Surcharge of 10% calculated on the hourly rate for truck and movers and/or for packers, as applicable, applies to all moves on Sundays. We do not perform moves on public holidays.
